I’m a knitter, designer of knitting patterns, spinner, dyer and very occasionally a sewer.
You’ll find posts about patterns I’m designing, what I’m knitting and spinning at the moment, inspiration and more, as well as occasional posts about life and all that goes with it.

About Me:
I’m known as Bex.
NinjaBex on Ravelry.
Live in England.
Little E is my daughter.
Knitting and the fibre arts is my life these days, I work as a knitwear designer and knitting and spinning tutor.
When I’m not knitting my own designs, I enjoy knitting gifts for others, socks, clothes and accessories for my daughter and myself.

Knitting led me to spinning and dyeing fibres for myself and to sell, to weaving and crocheting, now it is all consuming, but I do find a little time for sewing and quilting.

I live every day with Fibromyalgia, a syndrome that causes many symptoms, but the most significant is constant wide spread pain. This constant pain and the fatigue make many aspects of daily life hard for me, but knitting and other crafts have really helped me escape this and kept me sane and productive, even if its only 1 row at a time!

As you may have noticed from my approach to knitting and pattern design I have an engineering and mathematical background, I just can’t shake it off!

  1. I am at the point of binding off the Zig Zag Moebius Cowl. Can you break down your preferred method of casting off? I’m unsure of how to start. If I slip 1 stitch knit-wise to right needle, I cannot knit the first 2 stitches on the right needle together through back loops because there are not yet 2 stitches on the right needle. I don’t want to guess at the start of the bind off because I want to end it correctly. Thanks.
