{"id":10,"date":"2008-06-15T14:08:06","date_gmt":"2008-06-15T13:08:06","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/knit.colourfuldesigns.co.uk\/?p=10"},"modified":"2008-06-15T18:55:52","modified_gmt":"2008-06-15T17:55:52","slug":"jacob-fleece","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/knit.colourfuldesigns.co.uk\/?p=10","title":{"rendered":"Jacob Fleece"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Today I collected some Jacob Fleece from <a href=\"http:\/\/www.tamsyn-g.com\/\">Tamsyn G<\/a>.<br \/>\nIt looks lovely, and Tamsyn has kindly picked out most of the VM which I am very thankful for.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/knit.colourfuldesigns.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/06\/jacobewe.jpg\" alt=\"\" title=\"Jacob Sheep\" width=\"360\" height=\"303\" size-full wp-image-11\" srcset=\"https:\/\/knit.colourfuldesigns.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/06\/jacobewe.jpg 360w, https:\/\/knit.colourfuldesigns.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/06\/jacobewe-300x252.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 360px) 100vw, 360px\" \/><br \/>\nJacob&#8217;s are white with well defined black (dark patches), they produce a medium quality fleece, with  micron count 30-33 and staple length 3&#8243;-7&#8243;, average fleece weight 2-3Kgs.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/knit.colourfuldesigns.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/06\/dscf0009.jpg\" alt=\"\" title=\"Jacob Fleece Raw\" width=\"500\" height=\"400\"  size-full wp-image-12\" srcset=\"https:\/\/knit.colourfuldesigns.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/06\/dscf0009.jpg 1280w, https:\/\/knit.colourfuldesigns.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/06\/dscf0009-300x240.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px\" \/><br \/>\nThe fleeces I have are a mixture of off white, light brown, dark brown and black wool.  Hopefully next weekend I will get time to wash a selection and have ago at hand carding it. (My new hand carders are expected to arrive this week.)
