Brownsea Island Shawl

Brownsea Island is an asymmetric shawl, knit in relaxing garter stitch with an eyelet and garter border.
Knit using 2 skeins of fingering/4ply weight yarn, keep knitting until all the yarn is used up. Inspired by a relaxing trip to Brownsea Island, the largest island in Poole Harbour, on the south coast of England.

Yarn
Fingering/4ply yarn: 2 x 100g (approx 400m each), 1 of each colour
Or yarn of your choice and larger needles than stated on the ball band to produce a loose gauge

Needles and Notions
Size US 4 / 3.5 mm circular needle or size needed to obtain gauge (approx length 32” / 80cm recommended)
2 stitch markers

Gauge
Using 4ply yarn: 22 stitches and 22 ridges (44 rows) / 4” in garter stitch (without blocking)

Sizing
Finished Measurements for 200g fingering/4ply yarn
Wingspan 80” (203cm) x Centre Depth 25” (64cm)
