I’m knitting booties and hat in pale green for Molly’s baby (due in 4months). The scan told her its a boy, but I thought I’d do them in pale green just in case its a girl. I feel this colour is quite unisex.
I have finished the booties, just need to locate some ribbon.
I’ve just started the hat, shouldn’t take long.

I know I shouldn’t keep putting other projects down (the felted bag for starters…), but I really wanted to do something for her, in case I get caught up with other things.

Stained Glass Fan Bag
This photo is the first work in progress, but I’ve now done some more.
The more I do the more lovely it gets. I disparately want to felt it, but am a little scared in case it gets ruined, as I will be heart broken.
More pics to come!

Freedom Spirit Bag Felted
I had a rethink about the socks, unpicked the half sock, and made a felted bag, which has come out brilliantly.
I felted it in our washing machine, which keeps going on and off (so ended up dragging it out and dismantling it twice before managing to felt anything).
Felted front loading washer, in a pillow case, with a pair of jeans, 60C, short wash, fast spin.
It probably could have been felted more, but I didn’t want it to shrink too much or my knitting needles won’t fit in it!

Freedom Spirit Sock
I saw some beautiful wool, which wasn’t perfect for knitting socks, but I couldn’t think of anything else to knit with it, so socks it is.
It’s a beautiful 100% Wool yarn from Twilleys of Stamford. It’s striped in many colours, but has a constant strand of deep purple.
As you can see its striping nicely.

Knitting Blog :)
This is the start of my knitting blog, in a hope of separating it from everything else.
